HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (Supersedes HLTAID001)

 HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Previously known as HLTAID001.


This  course is designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to provide resuscitation assistance to a non-breathing casualty until qualified help arrives.

Complete the online study & quizzes

  • This cpr course includes  online study and  face to face  practical class .
  • The online study consists of all multiple choice questions . (You keep answering the questions as many times as it takes until you get 100% correct)  Normally it will take around 0.5 hour.
  • Face to face class includes  practical tasks and role plays based on scenarios during face to face class .  Normally it will take around 1 hour & 45 minutes.
  • Your login details for online study will be sent to you by email after your successful booking

Assessment & award issue

  •  You have to successfully complete the online study & quizzes .
  •  You are assessed as competent in all practical demonstrations and role plays on the day of your practical class, 
  •  A PDF of your nationally recognized Statement of Attainment will be emailed to you within 1 working day after the class.

Physical requirement

 You have to demonstrate the ability to correctly perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult & infant manikin respectively placed on the floor.  

What you need bring on the day of class

  •  Your Photo ID (We accept Australian or international passport, Australian driver 's license & photo card )
  • ​Your USI ( unique student identifier )  click here to apply .

  • Pen

Attendance

 Please arrive 10 minutes earlier to complete necessary paperwork for registration and ID check.We will not allow entry if you are more than 15 minutes late and you will need to re-book and pay again for another class 

Pocket mask training

You can complete your Pocket Mask training for the New South Wales Police Force at the same time. Please tell the trainer at the beginning of the class.
