HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting.

Previously know as HLTAID004.

 This course includes online study and face to face class (5-6 hours).  

Education and care environments in Australia have to provide a safe workplace for all employees, students, visitors & contractors. the course is ideal for meeting those obligations in case of an accident or injury to anyone on your premises. This course covers skills and knowledge required to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and first aid in line with Australian resuscitation council guidelines in an education and care setting.

• On successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for:
• HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (valid for 12 months)
• HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support (valid for 3 years)
• HLTAID011 Provide first aid (valid for 3 years)
• HLTAID012 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting (valid for 3 years)

• The online study is pre-course theory and needs to be completed before face-to-face class.
• The online study consists of all multiple-choice questions. 
• Face-to-face class is 4-hour session includes practical tasks and role plays based on scenarios.
• Your login details for online study will be sent to you by email after your successful booking  

• You have to successfully complete the online study & quizzes.  
• You are assessed as competent in all practical demonstrations and role plays on the day of   your practical class,  
• A PDF of your nationally recognized Statement of Attainment will be emailed to you on the same day or within 1 working day after the class.  

You have to demonstrate the ability to correctly perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult, young child & infant manikin respectively placed on the floor.
